Terms of Service

Last updated: 10 June 2026. These terms ("Terms") govern your use of Featherpress (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the API you agree to them.

1. The Service

Featherpress provides an HTTP API that converts HTML and Markdown documents into PDF files, together with a web dashboard for managing your account and API keys. Features and limits may change as the product evolves.

2. Accounts

You sign in using a third-party identity provider (Google or GitHub). You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your access credentials secure.

3. API keys

API keys authenticate your requests and must be kept confidential. You are responsible for all usage made with your keys. You may revoke keys at any time from the dashboard.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service to violate any law or third-party right.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer, or circumvent rate limits or security controls.
  • Do not render content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful.

5. Free tier & fees

The Free plan includes the conversion allowance described on the pricing page. Paid plans are not yet available; if and when they launch, the applicable fees and terms will be presented before you purchase.

6. Intellectual property

You retain all rights to the content you submit. You grant us the limited right to process that content solely to provide the Service.

7. Service level (SLA)

We target 99.99% monthly uptime for the render API. Uptime excludes scheduled maintenance announced in advance and factors outside our reasonable control (for example, a customer's own network or third-party providers). If we fall short of this target in a given month, contact us and we will work with you on a remedy.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Featherpress will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email.
