Privacy Policy
Last updated: 10 June 2026. This policy explains what data Featherpress collects and how we use it.
Data we collect
- Account data — your name and email address, taken from your Google or GitHub profile when you sign in, plus any company and billing details you add in Settings.
- API keys — we store only a SHA-256 hash of each key, never the raw value.
- Usage data — counts and metadata about your API calls (for quotas, billing, and the usage dashboard).
- Operational logs — standard request logs used to operate and secure the Service.
Document content
HTML and Markdown you submit to the render API is processed to produce your PDF. We aim to process it transiently and not to retain document bodies longer than needed to fulfil the request and operate the Service.
How we use data
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To enforce quotas and (in future) to bill paid plans.
- To communicate with you about your account.
- To detect, prevent, and address abuse or security issues.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share data with infrastructure sub-processors strictly as needed to run the Service, and where required by law.
Retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed API keys, and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable period.
